LLM

A neural network trained on large corpora of text to predict the next token, producing a model that can generate coherent prose, answer questions, write code, and reason through problems. The "large" refers to parameter count and training data volume, both of which correlate empirically with capability. LLMs are the reasoning engine inside most current AI agents — powerful but stateless; any memory or tool use must be added by the surrounding system.
